BorderHQ is the result of a pilot project of Parcel2Go.com (FAM Logistics), Liberatas IT Ltd, Yankit Logistics from Germany, and AFC Inc. from USA.
AFC Inc. has over 30 years of experience in warehouse logistics and process management, they are located in South Florida (Miami, Florida, USA). Main markets for the parcel forwarding business before entering the European market were South America and the Caribbean. BorderHQ Ltd has an excellent logistics network in all of South America, with stations and offices in almost every South American country and the Caribbean.
FAM Logistics, founded in 1990 and since 2000 operator of Parcel2Go.com, which in 2007 was awarded by Hitwise as the biggest company offering online parcel dispatching in the UK, has a major role for BorderHQ with their sorting facility in Bolton, Gtr Manchester. This facility is handling all incoming parcels from USA and China for BorderHQ and therefore plays a major role in process coordination.
Yankit Logistics is linking Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well as Central Europe to BorderHQ. Between 2004 and 2007, Yankit was offering parcel forwarding services independently. Today, Yankit has successfully been rebranded to BorderHQ, providing the same dependable service former Yankit customers have come to appreciate.
By consolidating all companies in a major rebranding process to BorderHQ Ltd in late 2007, important changes to the operations occurred. Faster delivery times, shorter and economically more reasonable transit routes, environment-friendly utilization of cargo capacities (avoidance of idle capacity) and reduction of maintenance cost are only some of the synergy results we experienced as BorderHQ Ltd.
