Customs Flat Rate (Import Tax & Duty)

All government charges will be billed to you in the form of a flat rate depending on the value (price) of your shipment. We will ask you for the correct value before despatching your shipment.

The Customs Flat Rate covers all Import Tax and Duty charges.

The Flat Rate is between 20% and 27.5% of the value of your shipment. Whether you are paying 20% or 27.5% in import fees depends on the type of Membership Level you choose when opening an Account online with us. We are sure about having an offer which you can't turn down.

Insurance & Liability

Our business operations are subject to the Forwarders' General Terms and Conditions (ADSp) in its latest version. According to Sec. §23 ADSp, the legal liability for damages to goods as stated in §431 HGB (Commercial code) is limited to 5 Euros / kg whilst in the care of a forwarder to 2 SDR / kg (special drawing rights) for multimodal transports incl. sea transport as well as to an additional 1 million Euros or 2 million Euros per damage or event or else 2 SDR / kg depending on which amount is higher.

Liability for Loss or Damage without an additional Insurance Plan is limited to ohne Zusatzversicherung beschränkt auf 400 £ or the actual or current time value of the item, respectively.
